Made for the British military in 1942. Blued bolt-action rifle with a 25" barrel, one magazine and a cloth sling with a broad arrow proof. Stamped "U.S. Property" in accordance with lend-lease contracts. Broad arrow on receiver and British proofs at muzzle. Metal finish seems to be paint over bluing and that has worn through to bare metal turning brown in spots. Steel buttplate with trapdoor has worn to bare metal with dings hiding at least a pull-through in the butt. Wood butt has a "broad arrow C" (Canadian military proof) as well as letters scratched in. Rear handguard has lines cut into it. There is some green paint on the front end of the stock. There is moderate damage in dings and scratches. Bore is dark with rifling. Action is good. Condition is fair to good. *Modern Firearm*
